Today a big package from Japan came to me! yeahhhh!! I’ve waited for this a long time. I ordered a lot of mangas….snack, t-shirt etc… One of my new favorite mangas is called LIFE. This is a story about 16 years old AYUMU who is being bullied by her classmates. This book has so many cruel, shocking scenes. I am pretty sure that it’s too graphic to show here in US. This country is conservative about graphic novels…
And I ordered a cool and funny T-shirt from a girl’s brand company in Tokyo! It has Michael Jackson? on the font!
Anyway I need to do packing in a few days to move out of Madison,, but I received a big package today… I’m stupid…

Hello, I’ve enjoyed your drawings for Savage Love and I found your site.
I think in a previous entry you mentioned boy’s love manga/yaoi (*^_^*). I think many people in the USA would have a hard time understanding the phenomenon of why straight women like to read about gay men
There is a new trend for yaoi created in the west. While good yaoi in the west is hard to find I can recommend one universe http://www.dragonsdisciple.com (one of the writers is also the artist)—it’s darker though—not for kids!
Thanks for your art on Savage Love, my mother opened up the Onion and thought the drawings were very cute and she was not offended by the column or art (and she is 60 years old—from a different generation).
