Misako Rocks!

Hi Everybody! How was your thanksgiving day? Did you eat a lot of foods? I did--! Absolutely fantastic thanksgiving day dinner!!!!!! Me and Kuririn were invited to my editor of Henry Holt publisher's Thanksgiving day dinner. Oh my God-- Both of us were really impressed by the presentation and taste! We never ever forget the taste....

Now let me finish adding photos of my EUROPA! trip!!
After my Malmo comic convention, I went to Copenhagen in Denmark for only couple hours!! Malmo and Copenhargen has great train and bus transportation. It took for an hour to get there.

When I went to Copenhagen and Germany, the timing was such a bad-- actually! Cause I visited right before they started decorating cities with Christmas ornaments!! At least I could see this beautiful Christmas tree right after I got off my bus.


Can you tell what they are? They are BABY sweets!! While we're walking around downtown, we saw this cute sweets decoration. So I couldn't stop taking photos. In Copenhagen, I bought so so many toys... Especially Barbapapa goods! God--- he is so cute!


So those photos are from Koln in Germany. I visited JIMBO who is Kuririn's bro! He took me to this Dom! Luckily we could climb to the top of this. I thought I took a photo of the tall building, but the top(Right one) was chopped in the photo.. Sorry! They say that there are 509 steps to get there. We thought that it's not that big deal,, but we were so wrong! On the way to there my knees started laughing... Even though it was super cold, were felt very sweaty when we got there. It was so beautiful to look at Korn!! I wish I could take more better photos, but I was a little bit scared by the height!




Look at those weird animal heads! Don't they look super realistic!? I love them-- We stoped by a store in Korn and saw these heads first.. God I wish I bought some of them... This lion heads look too real, scary and cute!!!!


"What's up teddy? Do you want to try my tea?" "No thanks sweety" I think he looks way more mature than me.


They are from Frankfurt! Thanks to JIMBO, I could visit more than three cities in two days trip! Thank you--!


When I was at his apartment, we played NintendoWii! I usually don't play videogame, but as for DDR I used to be really good at it, but now I suck... But I was good at boxing!!!! It was fun!

When I arrived at Malmo Sweden, I saw very interesting sign! It's just a train station, but there are toilets and shower room in a same place!? But I heard that there wasn't shower in the toilet at all. OK, so why is the sine still there?


Look at this cool door! This is the building which has a studio for Swedish comic artists and Malmo comic convention! Each artist has a nice booth and it seems to be very organized. It's amazing that creaters get together there and work on their own projects.


I was about to give a presentation. So I look a little bit nervous there. Can you see the photo in the laptop? That's my parent's wedding photo!


I showed more than 60 images of my art works and my photos. Thanks to this presentation and a newspaper in Sweden, I could sell my books well! I just hope Swedish people understood my Japanese-American-English!! It was fun to describe what I did in Japan and how I became a cartoonist. Right after this, 7 years old Swedish boy came to me and asked me what kind of pen I use, what I use computer for,etc. He was very cute and curious about creating comics!

I'm back'n NYC!!!!! I was out of US about three weeks this time! When I left NYC, it wasn't that cold but now oh my God, winter is coming!

I'm about to go to bed, but I thought I should update some photos from my trips. I usually don't take any photos even though I travel abroad... This time I did!

My first day in London. Me, Diana, Shawn and Oscar-san went to his favorite playground in the morning. I had my first morning tea there. It was a beautiful day! Everytime I visited London, the weather was always cloudy, rainy. So I was pretty lucky this time!


Oh-- now back'n normal London weather, I guess. But I was very excited to check out this famous trafalgar square! Buldings in Europe have such an amazing history and style--- I love it! And of course shopping in London is great too. It's very hard to resist!


On the way to WalkerBook Publisher, I found this automn-street.. And then I had a very nice talk with an editor, Patrick! It was very exciting to share ideas of graphic novels with him.

Andddddddd I totally forgot asking to take photos of me during my speech at ICA on Nov 5th!! I'm so stupid--- At the night my friends, TIM and CHIE chan came over to the event. I haven't seen Tim more than three years!?, so it was nice surprise!


Oh my God---- This is the best fresh-organic-Indian food ever I had!!! Thank you Jane!!!! She took me and Diana to a little organic cafe in downtown in London. Gosh I should have kept their business card... Also they serve fresh juice too. They have more ethnic foods too. When I go back to London next year, I'll go there to explore more for sure. I wish I can explain you this taste somehow!!!!!!! Arghhhhhhh

I'm back'n London now!! When I got liverpool street station, the tube was shut down!! Everybody looked very angry, frustrated. So I decided to take a bus to come back to my friend's house. But bus stops are under construction! It took a long time for me to find the new stop---

Today Jimbo took me to Korn! We went inside of Dome and climbed to the top of it!! There were more than 500 steps plus the steps were spiral--- So both of us got dizzy then our knees started laughing!! But when I saw a whole view of Korn from the top, I was so excited and my energy came back--
Europe has so many amazing old beautiful buildings. During this trip I could see a lot of them and made me want to visit other countires too.

Also we were looking for SOY chai tee or something in cafes, but except starbucks coffee, they don't have soy milk here! I can't believe it--- I thougt Soy milk is popular anywhere. And we were looking for a thai restaurant in downtown for a while, but we couldn't find it. Luckily we went to a nice Italian restaurant and they had good veggie meals. They were very tasty!

Then tonight we played Nintendo Wii DDR! Man,, I suck!! I used to be very good--- I have to practice more.

Jimbo is taking me to Frankfurt tomorrow! It will be fun last day in Germany.

I'm back'n London now!

Comic festival in Malmo is over--- I met a lot of great people here. It was so nice to meet Swedish comic creaters. A newspaper in Malmo made a big article about me! So it helped me to sell my books-- I sold most of books. That was nice.

It's just midnight in London-- I am going to get up at 5am.I'm leaving to Malmo Sweden! so I should go to bed now. But I am still packing.. I will be there four days and I am going to bring two suitcase! hahaha---
I have never been there before.. I'm very excited to see a new city, try new food, sweets, etc!
I hope I can meet a lot of creaters and people who loves comics in the festival!
