Oops!

Oh my gosh-- I haven't add any new posts a week!? I have been very busy and didn't notice until now! Man.. I'm a bad blogger!

But tonight was such a nice and relaxed night.  My second family, THE ONION crews threw BBQ party for me and kuririn! Chris and Vicky set up amazing dinner--!! Yummy yummy salad, veggie BBQ, desert, etc. It was so nice to hang out with everybody. I totally felt like I'm back'n home! 
So Thank you again!

And I forgot taking photos.. cause I'm stupid.

Summer Fest!

Yesterday we went to Japanese summer festival in Mitsuwa! There were many people who wore Yukata there. The store has a big parking in the back. Many food wagons, toy instant stores opened next to a dance stage. We bought a Omen!(Mask: these masks are quite popular dugind summer festivals!). I got Dokin chan mask(she is a character from an anime ANPAN-MAN). Kurirn got Kato chan mask(He is one of pretty famous Japanese comedian. He used to have his own shop in Harajuku.)
In the end of the festival, many old Japanese ladies started teaching Japanese bon-odori to people. It was pretty cute to see a lot of kids dancing in a circle! and it reminded me of my childhood too!! Also Taiko group from Brooklyn performed too. That was nice.


I ate Miso Ramen!!!!! Chooo oishi!

GAS!

Finally We got GAS at our apartment!! It took us more than two week to get it since we moved in NY... It was such a hell without cooking food.. we used RICE COOKER to make Onigiri, steam veiggies,, boil corns(but we always have to break to small,, otherwise it doesn't fit to rice cooker...) Now I don't need to be sad about those stupid things!!
I cooked pasta with fresh basils and corns!! It was a nice dinner-- then we ate Chocolate denish which I got from Japanese bakery--!! Yeahhhhhh!

my amazing flower

Oh my god.. Last night was pretty crazy night! Big big thunder attacked somewhere near my house for sure!! Cause I heard most crazy thunder sound ever--. I was so scared! I hate Thunder since I was a kid. I got sort of used to earthquakes.. When I lived in Japan, we had a lot of earthquakes.. I know I should'nt say that I am used to earthquake, but you know what I mean. Even though last night and this morning was pretty depressing, our plant, Bromeliad just had a beautiful vivid purple bloom!! It looks like that other ones are coming up too now. This flower is from south of America. We thought that it's hard to make her happy here,, but well she seems to be happy, right?

bike ride

Last night we did bike ride around our neighborhood. Brooklyn Museum area was so beautiful and I felt so happy to bike around there--- The street has European style and it was hard to ride a bike on it, but I didnt' mind at all!
We found an awesome tiny park. People were gardening and paiting on a gigantic wall!! That will be super cool mural!
On the way to home we found crazy and weird mural.... Disney Characters and Stevie Wander are in there.... It's just weird!

days started!

When I got new computer, the monitor wasn't good,,, so I needed to buy bigger and better(in many ways) monitor!  Kurirn set up for me-- Look at his fast movement!! He got multiple arms-- Wowwww

So I started drawing new/fixed pages of DJ1!! It will be a lot of works.... I'll do drawings, edit pages, etc. Kuririn do lettering work for me. If I'll do this work by myself, It will take a loooooooooong long time for me to finish DJ. I'm lucky to have him!

still in the process

I am still setting up our apartment! Since I couldn't find good book shelves, there are a lot of boxes with books in our studio. I don't like it!! But at least I decolated my toys on my desk..  They made me happy.
Let me show you my desk area!! It's pretty messy---
Right now I am working on DJ1. Me and my editor KATE just finished checking the final feedback, so now it's my turn to change mistakes, add new pages, etc. Since my English is my second language, I had a lot of small mistakes: spelling, gramour, etc.... Some of mistakes made me laugh!! Man,,, I should have studied text-book-style-English!!

some photos

Hello! yeahhhhhhhh Finally I got internet at my home.

Since me and kuririn moved here, we have some Apartment problems every day and we got pretty dipressed. Espcially LIFE WITHOUT INTERNET is pretty hell for us! We still have NO gas! and it looks like that our bathroom needs a lot of works... And... the most crazy story is----- that a kid broke into our apartment! Okay okay let me explain what happened.
I was alone at our apartment that day. I was playing music pretty loud and singing. I went to bathroom,,,, A kid was standing right in front of me in our bathrooooooooom!! I got just shocked, screamed!!! He opened the window of our bathroom then broke into!! I never ever forget the moment when I saw him! I felt as if I was a boy actor of Sixth Sense...You know what I am saying!? I almost thought that he was a ghost or something!
Everything is OK now. But I am still scared and sensitve to any small sound, shadow now....
I bet so many people think what kind of place Misako is living!?, right?
Our apartment is located in really nice neighborhood and pretty safe. But it's big city man. Anything is possible!

OK let's change a topic.  Let me show you some photos of my roadtrip!!

I was trying to touching his chin!! Since I don't have a driving lisence, Kuririn was driving all the way to NY-- We passed IL, IN, PA, NJ! Yeahhhh.

i think this photo is from somewhere in PA. Since there are a lot of mountains, this crazy fog was bothering kurrin to drive!! Everytime I went to my grandmother's house in the north of Japan, my family always had to drive into mountains and we saw a lot of crazy things! Sometime we saw monkeys--

And this is from Manhattan bridge of NY! yeahhhh!! We made it! It was beautiful to look back Manhattan from the bridge! When I watched NY love romance movies in my childhood, this bridge scene always showed up and I've wanted to be there---- and wanted to go on a date with Michael J Fox in Manhattan!!
