Mermaid?

So this parade was packed!! Police blocked streets, So people were getting angry. It took forever for us to cross a street.

Before we went to see this parade, we watched a movie “Bully” and this car reminded me of the movie for some reason.  Anyway it’s awesome!

Yesterday Kuririn and I went to Coney Island to check out Mermaid parade which is supporsed to be the biggest parade in US! and a rolling coaster!

Can you see me? I’m jumping! We got on WONDER WHEEL after this. We thought it’s relaxing/fun ride. But we almost threw up after we got off!!(We’re not good at high and slow ride…)

And we found this Grandmother Tarot card machine! Kyaaaaaaaaa!! It reminds me of Tom Hunks’ movie “BIG”!

He’s strong!!

Yeahhhh! We love rolling coaster! This looked a short/normal coaster, but it’s most crazy/old/scary ride! We got last seats. So we’re pulled and shaked. I found out that my legs got crazy blues after this.

On the way to the beach, we saw police officers’ Jazz band. They’re super good and some of them are wearing guns while their show! Ha!

Laugh at me…

So I won two awards the other day. Wowwwww.. I still can’t belive it.

First one is for VENICE BEACH ARTISTS WRITING ARTS AWARD and second one is for VENICE BEACH ARTISTS GRAPHIC ARTS AWRD.

Why do I open my mouth everytime I take a photo??!! Well.. I was pretty energetic today, even though today’s weather was crazy hot-muggy..
I had a great time to talk to people! Thank you for coming to Hyperion Books table to talk to me^_^

This afternoon I went to Botanic Garden in Brooklyn to have a meeting! They’re going to do something exciting and fun this Halloween and next year for Sakura season. They invite me as one of guest who gives a presentation/workshop/book signing! Yeahhh!!! I took great photos there. So let me add some Japanese garden photos!

Hiroshima ama no hashidate?! When Anita, public director took me to Japanese garden, I felt as if I went back to Japan for sudden! Look at this beautiful gateway!!!!! TORII!

This set up sort of reminds me of my grandparent’s garden in North of Tokyo. My grandfather used to keep his big Japanese garden like this.

And this little Temple was almost hidden..

I’m lucky!!!!!!! I almost shouted when I found these turtles. I bet they are having a nap or something together since the weather became nice^_^

And when I went to an entrance area, I saw a big pound which is covered with water lillys.
Actually I have never seen real water lillys until now!

I wish I could have checked out Botanic garden a long time ago. If you have a chance to visit NY, please come to Brooklyn and explore this amazing garden! Maybe we can hang out there!
